Café Amazon concept store at Phahonyothin km. 56 — the most beautiful coffee place in Thailand

What makes this Café Amazon different from all the others?

This is not a regular Café Amazon. The concept store is a distinctive retail space that sets itself apart from standard stores through its own architectural design and interior decoration concept. The idea behind it goes far beyond just selling coffee — the brand calls it "Coffee x Life," a concept that allows consumers to discover new tastes of life while becoming an integral part of a community.

The core design concept for this location is "Landmark" — the goal was to transform a café into a door to local experiences, connecting its presence with a sense of belonging to a community, society, and the environment. In simple words: they wanted to build something you remember, not just a place to grab a drink on the road.

What does the building actually look like inside?

The building features a limestone wall envelope that helps with heat filtering and ventilation. The gap between the walls becomes a semi-outdoor area filled with various plant species, forming a small garden that adds a lush, fresh feel to the space. From the outside it looks solid and grounded, but once you step in, everything changes.

The large interior space is furnished in a dark gray tone, evoking a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. Black pillars branch out replicating the attributes of natural trees, while a curved steel component crowns the second-floor space — a nod to the cage of ZonZon, the colorful macaw and the brand's iconic mascot. It's the kind of detail most people miss, but once you see it, it stays with you.

Is there anything special on the menu here?

Yes — and this is one of the things that makes each Concept Store unique. The store operates under the concept "The Door to the Local Culture," selecting local ingredients to create special menus exclusive to this branch. You won't find these drinks at a regular Café Amazon.

One of the signature drinks here is the Unicorn Cotton Candy Frappe — a drink that draws inspiration from Ayutthaya's famous sweet treat, Roti Sai Mai, an Islamic-influenced dessert made by wrapping cotton candy in sweet roti. There's also the Concept Bar inside, offering specialty-level coffee with single-origin beans from northern Thailand, drip options, and premium milk from a local dairy cooperative — a small but meaningful way of supporting the region.

Can you actually work or spend a few hours here?

Absolutely — and this was clearly part of the plan. The store has two spacious floors with tables, power outlets, and stable Wi-Fi, designed so that even when it's busy, you can always find a quiet corner.  It's one of the few spots on the Bangkok–north highway where you can genuinely stop, sit down, and get something done.

The furniture inside is made using an upcycling approach — tables and chairs are produced from coffee grounds, while sofas and staff uniforms are woven from PET plastic bottles, Bio Cups, and old plastic straws. All materials are biodegradable, durable, and visually appealing.  So while you're working at that table, the table itself is made from recycled waste. Not many cafés can say that.
