Hotel Portofino Toscana Valley Khao Yai — honest review 2026
Is Hotel Portofino Khao Yai worth the price in 2026?
Hotel Portofino is not just a place to sleep — it's an experience. Italian-style architecture, a lake right outside your window, breakfast in the shade with fish swimming below you. The room is spacious, well-equipped and the balcony is huge.
That said, there are quirks. The elevator is painfully slow and the balcony has no furniture. But for the atmosphere, the location inside Toscana Valley and the included breakfast — yes, it's worth it.
What is included in the stay at Portofino Toscana Valley?
Your room card unlocks the entire Toscana Valley complex. As a guest you can drive through the gates, explore the area, visit nearby cafés and see the development up close. Breakfast is included — buffet style, relaxed, right next to the water.
There's also a spa on the second floor at 2,000 baht per hour. Personally I skipped it and went to Banchanngam Massage, just 8 minutes away — five times cheaper and just as good.
Where to eat near Hotel Portofino Khao Yai?
Right inside the complex there are great options. I tried Ravello for lunch — Australian steak for 1,850 baht, absolutely worth every baht. For dinner E-Sarn Tapas delivered a huge seafood assortment for 1,200 baht.
Both restaurants are walking distance from the hotel. No need to leave the valley for a great meal — but if you do, the area around Khao Yai has plenty of options too.
How to get the most out of Toscana Valley as a hotel guest?
Use your room card to explore beyond the hotel. Drive through the gates, check out the construction of the new residential zone, pop into nearby cafés. The valley is massive and most guests never see half of it.
And don't miss the 30 minutes drive to Mövenpick Castle Hotel — stunning place, I have a full video about it on my channel. Also next door is Hotel Piza Tower — I didn't upgrade and I regret it. Just 1,000 baht more. Go for it.
